Today Ben and I took a trip to the zoo. We went with Patty (her daughter Olivia) and Glenda (her daughter Jillian and son Evan). We tried to get a picture of all the kids together...I don't think anyone is actually looking at the camera. :) Ben and Olivia looking at the orangutans. The lemurs were jumping around. Curt decided to try Ben out on his bike tonight. He pushed Ben all around the house. Ben loved it! I'm sure he has started something that I will have to do with Ben everyday now. I feel tired already! :)

Ben and I went for a walk today and stopped at the neighborhood playground. He tried out the swing for the first time. He loved it so much and didn't want to get out! The walk made us both pretty hot. When we came home Ben enjoyed a sippy cup of water.

Ben tried out a toy today that he got for Christmas from his Grandpa and Grandma Walker. It is in a rocking position right now, but you can flip the wheels around to make it move. I thought maybe he would be really unstable on it. I sat right by him and he didn't slip at all. It makes lots of sounds and he thought it was pretty cool.

I've been giving Ben some finger foods lately. He was not very excited about Cheerios so I tried the Gerber puffs. He really likes the sweet potato flavor. Yesterday he would not try the apple cinnamon flavor, but today he decided to be adventurous.

Tonight Curt gave Ben another haircut. I'm glad he is brave enough to try because I'm way too nervous about it. :) We just bought a hair trimmer set and it was much easier than just a pair of scissors. Ben did a great job not moving around too much. I can't believe this is already his third haircut...I wonder how WILD his hair would be by now if we had never cut it.

There was so much stuff packed around Ben on the way home! I think he was happy to be out of the car. He took a long nap this afternoon in his crib. He was pretty sick of the pack-n-play.

Curt and I took Ben to see Lake Michigan during our trip. It is right by Silver Lake. The wind was very strong and blowing sand everywhere, but it was so nice to see the big lake. I've really missed being able to go there more often. My cute boys :) Ben and mommy The water felt a little cold to Ben.

We went to the city of Pentwater a couple of times. We looked in the little shops and ate lunch there. Ben and Curt out by the water in Pentwater. We ate lunch at The Brown Bear. When Derek's burger came we were shocked at the size, so we had to take a picture. I told Derek to hold up his hand to compare the size. The waitress said it was around a pound of meat. Yikes! He did not eat it all...if you were wondering. :)

We spent the past week at a cottage in Mears, MI on upper Silver Lake. We shared the cottage with our friends Derek, Rachel, and their two boys Jackson and Luke. Here is a view of the back of the cottage.

Ben and I this morning...while I tried to take a picture holding the camera. He drank his bottle all by himself! Getting ready for lunch. Trying out a sippy cup...he hasn't quite figured them out yet. He wants to chew on the top or shake it around like crazy. Playing with some toys after lunch.
