Disney On Ice

Image
We bought tickets to Disney on Ice and surprised the kids that we were going just a few days before the show. They were both excited to see the show! Lucy was especially excited to see her favorite princess....Ariel. Pictures don't really turn out that great in the Coliseum, so I only took a few. But, it's always fun to look back and remember the things we did together.   Getting ready for the show to start...someone was so excited she had to squeeze her cheeks. :)  Belle and Prince Adam  Ariel and Prince Eric  Mickey and Minnie travelled during the show to lots of different celebrations like birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's day, etc... In this picture, they are going to a luau with Lilo and Stitch.

Girl's Night/Boy's Night

In the end of February, Curt and Ben headed to Chicago to watch a Northwestern basketball game. Every year, they go to a different Big Ten basketball stadium with Curt's dad. This year, Curt's mom came too and they all stayed overnight. Lucy and I stayed in Fort Wayne and had a fun "Girl's Night." She talked about it constantly for about a month. She was most excited that I said she could sleep in my bed for a sleepover. The boys left in the morning on a Saturday and we headed to Hobby Lobby to find a fun craft. She chose something to paint. After that, we went to Panera for lunch. I was happy about her choice because I love Panera. :) After some craft and game time in the afternoon, we popped popcorn and watched a new Barbie movie that we had been saving. We had lots of fun together and she keeps asking when the next "Girl's Night" will be!   Lucy's favorite thing at Panera is the baguette, which she calls "hard bread."  We ...

Little Shots

Image
In February, Ben finished up his Little Shots basketball season. He played in all three years of the program. It goes from kindergarten through second grade. He seems to enjoy basketball, so we will have to see if he wants to play somewhere next year. It was fun to watch him practice and play with his team. Posing for a quick photo during the practice time.   Game time!  The players got a medal after the season was all done. Ben was pretty excited about that!  Team Red

Lucy's Birthday!

On January 4th, we had such a fun day celebrating our sweet 4 year old. Ben was still on Christmas break and Curt took the day off of work, so we were able to be together all day. When Lucy woke up and came down the stairs, she was excited to find the My Little Pony decorations in the dining room.   Since were were all home, we let her open up her presents right away in the morning. There were lots of new My Little Pony toys and a few other fun things.  Lucy got her pretty birthday dress on and we headed to the mall. She wanted to get her ears pierced! She did really well sitting still during the whole process.  She picked out pink sparkly earrings.   We stopped at the food court for some Chick-fil-a for lunch.   The afternoon was spent playing games and trying out her new toys.   Crazy face!   Happy Birthday Lucy!
