A nice day for a ride

Image
After a rainy day yesterday, it was nice to see the sun out this morning. I've been really trying to get Ben to practice riding his bike. I thought I'd talked him into it earlier this week, just to have him change his mind when we went to get it out of the garage. Today he was ready and willing to give it a go! He gets nervous to try things that he isn't sure he will be successful at doing...wonder where he gets that from? Not the best trait I've passed along to him. :) I had him ride in the cul-de-sac area by our house. I thought that might be better than the sidewalk for him. I helped him get the hang of turning and after one time around he was ready to ride without any help from me. Yay! He still needs a lot more practice, but I'm glad to see him not give up on it quickly. Maybe this time next year he will be ready to ride without his training wheels.

Giggles

Last night Curt took a video of Lucy laughing. She was watching Ben use his pull-back Mario car in the kitchen. Her face is a little blurry because the camera was focusing on her bouncy seat in the backgroud, but I thought it was too funny not to share. :)

Check out these moves!

Lately, Ben loves to do crazy basketball moves in our basement. He even got Lucy (in the carrier) to do some wild moves yesterday. Curt recorded a little video last night for your viewing pleasure. :)

Lucy's 3 month photo shoot

As always, my sister-in-law Betsy did a fabulous job taking Lucy's pictures on our last visit to Cadillac. You can check out her photography website here. Below are a few of my favorites...she is such a cutie! :)  He loves his little sis!

Getting Lost in a Good Book

Ben showed a couple books to Lucy in her room today. He is such a sweet big brother.

Easter

Image
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again And as He stands in victory Sin's curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ With kids, it's easy to get caught up in the extra "Easter" things like egg hunts, baskets, and other projects. I love to see Ben get excited about those things, but I hope that we've also done a good job of talking about what Easter really means.  I'm so thankful for my Savior and all that He has done for me! Beware of the picture overload below! I thought I'd share a few of the fun things we did this week.  Earlier this week, Ben made this cute bunny face with cotton balls.  He also made a chick with his handprints.  I got a quick picture of Ben and Lucy before church last night. Ben was not too thrilled about taking a picture.  Curt and Lucy  Ben and Lucy's Easter baskets all read...
