Sadly, I failed once again... I forgot to take my camera out the whole weekend we were with Curt's family! Since I am holding Lucy a lot of the time, I seem to forget to capture any memories. Thankfully my sister-in-law Betsy took a big group shot at the Walker family reunion. It makes me laugh though because in the picture Lucy is screaming and Ben looks so bored. What can you do? :) Lucy is such a sweet girl, who makes me smile every day, but she wore me out this past weekend. She really didn't want anyone to hold her besides myself or Curt. That made for some very tired arms. She also had tons of spit up for some reason. At our family get together, I think I had to change her clothes at least eight times from all of the spit-up. She also made a mess of my shirt and jeans...of course I didn't have a change of clothes for myself. There are many more things I could add to the list, but I don't want to bore you. It was an adventure. :) These are the experiences ...
Fun in the Sun

It was a hot weekend here in Fort Wayne! We took a took a trip out to Home Depot on Saturday to pick out some plants and seeds for our garden. This time we did not plant quite as many things as last year and we are trying some new vegetables. Last year we ended up with an abundance of tomatoes and since I am the only person who likes them in our house, we just got two tomato plants this time (one cherry and one regular). The rabbits really liked our beans last year, so we'll see if we can keep them away. Curt did all of the planting (with a little messy help from Ben). It was a really hot job out there in the sun, so I'm glad he was up for the challenge! :) I kept an eye on Lucy and got some other things done while he was out there. Today we got out Ben's pool. It is a blow-up one, so I was surprised that it survived a whole year in the garage without getting a hole. Ben loved playing in it with his color-changer cars! It is a bit of a process to set up, so I'm not...

I'm thankful I got spend this Mother's Day with the two greatest kids in the world! After an early morning wake-up from both Lucy and Ben at around 6:30, Curt let me go back to sleep for a little bit. Ben was very excited for me to open my cards and presents, so he didn't let me sleep for too long! Later in the afternoon, I thought it would be fun to try to get a family picture using our camera timer. I think they turned out pretty well for our first try. Ben and Lucy Our first attempt...not too bad, except Lucy isn't looking at the camera. After a couple more tries, we ended with this one. Curt took a quick one of me and the kids outside. There were lots of neighbors outside, so we didn't really want to be posing out there forever...awkward. :) I got this mirror for over our bed for my present. I picked this out a while ago and it looks great in our room. It's nice to have something on the wall. It takes us forever to decor...
Zoo

This morning, we made our first trip of the season to the zoo. I wanted to go with Curt the first time so that I could see how it was going to work having Lucy & the stroller with us. It was pretty busy since it's the weekend, but we had a fun time even with the crowds. There wasn't any one else waiting for a turn, so Ben got to enjoy a nice long 'ride'. I wanted to have a picture taken with Ben and he insisted that we be in the tent. The leopard was pacing and making loud growling sounds. She woke up from a little rest to check out the zoo with us. The one thing Ben really wanted to do was feed the giraffes. I was so happy that they were up by the fences when we got to that part of the zoo. Ben used to LOVE this komodo dragon a couple years ago...now he just gives it a quick look. Ben and Lucy We hung out by the sea lions for a while watching them swim. Lucy really liked being carried around and looking at...
