Easter Morning

Since we attended church last night, we had a slow morning in our pajamas. I've been talking about Easter with Ben this week and I hope that when he is older he truly understands the sacrifice that Jesus made for us on the cross. He made a picture in his Sunday school class last night that said, "Jesus is Alive!" That really says it all...I'm so thankful for my Saviour.

We had some fun surprises for Ben on the table when we came downstairs this morning. He was so excited to look at all of the stuff in his bucket. We also hid some eggs around the house last night. Ben enjoyed looking for them. I kept them in places that he could see really well, except for one that I hid in his bike seat. Surprisingly, he found that one right away!

Ben's Easter bucket and an extra present that wouldn't fit inside.

He immediately dumped the bucket over and started collecting all the treats that fell on the floor.

His bigger present was the Octane Gain truck/car/tire changer from Cars. Ben was very excited when he got the wrapping paper off.

Dropping the eggs he found in his new sand bucket.

After we went for a walk, Ben played in the driveway with his new tricycle. He got it from his cousin Peyton, who is too big for it now. He hasn't gotten the hang of the pedals yet, but I'm sure he'll catch on soon.

What a fun morning! Looks like a great day together. We really missed being home and/or with family this Easter---just didn't seem right, especially not being able to be in Church to celebrate Jesus' Resurrection! So glad we had last Sunday together---that was Special.
Are those Thomas p.j's Peyton's too? ;) He looks so cute in them.....whether they are Pey's or not! ;) What a fun Easter! He looks like he fits the bike perfectly! Peyton took a little longer to figure out the petals too for some reason? I'm sure Ben will catch onto it quickly....especially if he has neighbor kids to watch riding their bikes! ;)
Have a great week!

Yes those are Pey's Thomas pj's! So many things fit Ben really well right now, so thanks again for all the clothes! I lowered the bike seat down all the way and that helped Ben be able to sit on it. He looks really funny trying to walk (instead of use the pedals) because it is still a tiny bit high for him.
