Sweet Treats
Today at Country Kitchen SweetArt the toddlers made treats that went with a "Picnic in the Park" theme. Ben had a fun time making pretzel sparklers, an ice cream cone cupcake, and a picnic in the park cookie.
He did a pretty good job following the directions, but he was a little wound up from not getting enough sleep last night. He's been starting to have nightmares the last few nights. I know this can be common at his age, but I feel so bad when he gets scared from a bad dream. Hopefully, those will end soon.
After we were done making the yummy treats, we stopped by Curt's work and we shared the cookie. It was messy, but very delicious!
When we first got there, we picked out a coloring paper and crayons to keep Ben a little busy until the class was ready to start.
While he colored, he kept asking me if he could have the frosting. Eating the extra frosting is always his favorite part...too bad he never saves any for me. :)
Putting sprinkles on his chocolate dipped pretzels.
The finished cupcake, pretzels, and the chocolate dipped part of his "hamburger" for his picnic cookie.
The finished cookie had frosting decorated with glitter gel to make the blanket. It also had the cookie hamburger, molded chocolate fruit, and the brown messy part is supposed to be an ant.
