Give me an "F"
I have not been doing a great job posting on the blog this week. So, for the few of you out there that keep up with us, sorry about that. We spent many of the days this week doing exciting things like getting groceries, doing laundry, and running errands. Nothing that you really want to see a picture of. :)
One of the mornings this week was spent on a mission to find cilantro. Who would have thought it would be that difficult? I usually just grab it (when I've needed it) on my regular grocery shopping trip. I needed it to make some salsa for this weekend. Well, the store was out of it when I got groceries on Monday. I thought I would just need to make a quick trip to another store later in the week. When I went later in the week, I struck out at three different stores. On my last attempt at store #4 (Meijer), I finally found some. Curt looked online and discovered there is a cilantro shortage going on right now...who would have thought? And more importantly, am I going to have to go through this again the next time I want homemade salsa?
The letter Ben worked on this week was "F". He did several projects and pointed out "F's" left and right everywhere we went. When we previously worked on a project, they would end up taped all over the frig. Now, I get to hang them up on his new art wire and I love it! It is so fun for me to add projects to it every day and see everything hanging up at the end of the week. It feels organized and anyone who knows me knows that organization makes me very happy. Ben has been doing really well with counting too. He can count to 30 (every once in a while he'll still make a mistake) and he can count to 100 by 10's.
I'll try to do better with posting next week!
I had Ben color a few fish using his fingerprints. He wanted to use several different colors, so by the end all of his fingers were colored. He was a little worried about this, but I assured him that the washable marker would come right off with some soap.
Since Ben enjoyed finding pictures last week for the letter W, I decided to try it again for the letter F. The Flinstones were a bit before Ben's time, so we had to watch some clips on YouTube to catch him up. He thought it was great!
He has been getting better at holding the glue bottle steady. In this picture, he is putting glue on a piece of fire.
A burning building and fire truck to the rescue.
