Mother's Day Trip to the Zoo

It has been raining so much lately, I feel like the house is going to float away. Thankfully today it did not rain and we were able to enjoy our first trip to the zoo this season. We had a fun time, but had to work through Ben's new super independent streak. I had brought along the stroller because there are some long spots of walking so I thought he might need a rest, but he really just wanted to walk the whole time. Now that wouldn't really be a problem if his idea of walking wasn't running like a wild child way ahead of us. I felt like I said, "Ben stop running, please" and "Ben you need to walk next to us" and "Ben don't run way ahead of us" about a million times. I need to work on him walking "with" me so that I don't go crazy on any future zoo trips! I seriously feel like I need to have one of those things that attach our wrists together. :) Other than that, we had a fun morning out visiting with the animals. The new zoo entrance looks great and I'm sure we will visit many many more times over the spring and summer. There are a few pictures from our trip below for you to enjoy.

That is such a nice zoo, and it looks like a fun day! Maybe we can visit there again sometime when we come to visit---always lots to see. Sounds like you had a nice Mother's Day. I'm glad.
Love you,
Mom Walker
