Delicious Treats & Friends

It is a hot one out there today! It was nice to spend most of the morning doing some fun stuff indoors. We started off at Country Kitchen SweetArt for the toddler time class. The theme this month was "Under the Sea." The kids decorated three cookies and made a molded chocolate crab sucker. We sat with my friend Bekah and her kids (Tiana, Isaiah, and Amarah). After the class was over, Bekah and I headed to our friend Erin's house. While we were there, the kids had fun playing in the backyard on Will's swingset. After they were a bit sweaty (esp. Ben) we headed inside for some lunch. It was wonderful to sit and visit with friends. I wish every day could be this fun! :)
The table is always set up and organized for each child when you come into the class.
Concentrating on filling up his crab mold.
He dipped this cookie in blue chocolate and added the eye. (I think the eye placement makes the fish look a little crazy :) ). He brought his new Cars 2 McQueen and Holly Shiftwell along to help.
Stirring the frosting to soften it up a bit.
Spreading it out on the cookie.
Eating the rest of his frosting after his cookie was covered. Having the extra frosting is always his favorite part of the class.
Adding some sprinkles to the octopus.
He was very proud of his cookies!
 Don't they look delicious?
After the crab was ready to come out of the mold, Ben posed with all of his treats. Surprisingly, he has not eaten any of them yet.
The kids LOVED playing on Will's new swingset. They played the rest of the morning inside, because they were getting pretty hot out there!
