Keeping Busy...

FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN
Last week Thursday, Curt and Ben went to our church to help fill meal bags for Feed My Starving Children. You have to be at least 5 years old to help, so Ben was able to help this year. There wasn't childcare available, so Curt and Ben went without me and Lucy. I'll have to give it a try next time with Ben. Our church partners up with FMSC once a year. It was an awesome serving activity for Ben and Curt to participate in together. We've been looking for more serving things to do as a family. It will definitely be easier in a couple years when Lucy is older.
Looking good with the hair nets. :)

BASEBALL
Ben had his second baseball game this Saturday. It was a beautiful day and Lucy & I came to watch. He did a good job as the game got started, but he got a little tired as the game went on. He is also still having some fears about the pitching machine (he hit his hand pretty bad with a ball at the 2nd practice). So, he does better when a person is pitching. This game, Curt pitched the first inning, then they used the machine the rest of the game. Hopefully he won't be afraid all season.
Ready for the game.
The cheerleaders were ready for the game too! :)
Lucy had to keep her eye on Ben while he warmed up. At first she thought he was trapped inside the fence. I had to show her the gate that he could walk through so she wasn't worried.
First time at bat on Saturday.
 Running to first base.
 Curt pitching the first inning.
 Running in to 3rd base.
 Taking it home!
 Yay Ben!
Ben tried out being the catcher. It took a while to get all that equipment on.
Being catcher didn't last too long because he got hit on his hand again. It was nice to see him try though, and maybe Curt will be able to get him out there again in another game.

 MOTHER'S DAY

I'm so thankful for these two sweet kids!
I'm glad that they love each other so much. :)

GOOD MORNING!
Lucy says to have a good Monday!
