Father's Day

Our church encouraged dads to have a date night on the Friday before Father's Day with their daughter(s) and breakfast on Saturday morning with their son(s). Curt thought that sounded like a great idea, so we worked that into Father's Day weekend. The kids were both so excited to have a special plan with their daddy. Curt does a great job making Ben and Lucy feel loved and special.  Lucy had fun picking out something pretty to wear on her date with daddy. She had to wear her "silvers" which is what she calls her shiny silver shoes. :)  Curt took her to Culvers because she likes the frozen custard treat at the end...and it's right next to the car wash.  Curt took Lucy through the car wash in his car a few weeks ago and she talks about it all the time. She likes to hold daddy's hand during the car wash because they make her a little nervous. She was so excited when he surprised her with a drive through the car wash after their dinner date. Curt...

We are enjoying summer vacation and trying to make the most of everyday, since it feels like school starts again so soon. I've gotten behind on the blog, so I thought I'd share some photos of what we've been up to the last month.     GARDEN : We finally got the garden planted near the end of May. Everything seems to be growing well so far. Hopefully we will have some delicious veggies to enjoy later this summer.   BUBBLE DAY : Ben's class had a bubble day one of the last weeks of school. It was fun to go and be a part of his special day. They had lots and lots of activities with bubbles. This is Ben's class. His teacher is in the pink shirt.    This was very cool to see in person. They made bubbles using dry ice.   INDIANAPOLIS ZOO : We went down to Indy for a day over Memorial weekend. We've been wanting to take the kids to the zoo there and the weather was perfect.
