We are enjoying summer vacation and trying to make the most of everyday, since it feels like school starts again so soon. I've gotten behind on the blog, so I thought I'd share some photos of what we've been up to the last month.
GARDEN: We finally got the garden planted near the end of May. Everything seems to be growing well so far. Hopefully we will have some delicious veggies to enjoy later this summer.
BUBBLE DAY: Ben's class had a bubble day one of the last weeks of school. It was fun to go and be a part of his special day. They had lots and lots of activities with bubbles.
This is Ben's class. His teacher is in the pink shirt.
This was very cool to see in person. They made bubbles using dry ice.
INDIANAPOLIS ZOO: We went down to Indy for a day over Memorial weekend. We've been wanting to take the kids to the zoo there and the weather was perfect.
We were able to see the Orangutan Center that just opened that weekend. It was very neat. I've never seen anything like it.
Me and my Ben
The kids really wanted to see the elephants, since we don't have them at our zoo.
Ben got to ride on his first roller coaster at the zoo. He loved it!
SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!
My sweet kindergarten graduate. :)
SWEET TREATS: Errands can be made much sweeter when you get to stop for cake pops when you're done shopping.
BASEBALL: We've had many baseball games and still have a few left. My parents and nephew Caleb came down last week and were able to see Ben play.
COOKIES: One afternoon, Ben helped me make cookies while Lucy took a nap. They were so yummy!
FORT WAYNE ZOO: Last week, Ben got to take his first trip of the summer to the zoo. I took Lucy while he was in school a couple weeks earlier. He was excited to see all of his favorite animals again.
We always love to stop and feed the giraffes.
Pony rides!
One of our last stops was brushing the goats.
We are really enjoying the summer. We hope you are too!
