***Update...I did even better playing today (Saturday)!


After a very long and patient wait, Curt finally got his Wii yesterday. He was very excited to put it together last night and try out some games. I am NOT a video game person. I have no skill at them and it is just embarrassing. But, I told Curt I would give it a try. We played a game of bowling (which I am terrible at in real life) and I played pretty well. It was easy and fun. I think he will be able to talk me into some more games in the future.

Curt took a picture of the score to document my success. It was nice to beat him at bowling for once! :)

Bowling is my favorite on our Wii too! We play it as a family almost every night and it's so much fun! Just something fun to do together as a family for down time! Pey is really good at golf and he's only 3!! I'm sure Ben will be playing in no time! It really doesn't take much skill, which is why I'm able to do so well! :0)

I'm glad we had time to make sugar cookies together. Christmastime does not seem complete without them. I frosted the cookies while Ben and Curt decorated.  Lots of sprinkles and chocolate chips!  Ben loved getting slippers and a robe with his "Christmas Eve" jammies. He does love to be cozy. We decided to move up our present opening a day early because we thought I might end up in the hospital on Christmas. But, today is the 27th and still no baby. So we were a bit off on that one.  Santa brought the Lewis Hamilton car that Ben had asked him for. He was very excited!  The new pirate ship has been a favorite. He has played with it a TON a last few days.  Ben also got a few more pirate dress-up things. I've heard "Aarg!" a lot lately. :)  My parents came yesterday for a visit since my dad has this week off of work. The Big 3-0!

Today I turned 30 years old. I didn't think that it would make me feel old, but it kinda does. :) I had a wonderful birthday. Curt went out and got us donuts for breakfast. Then, I got to open my presents. He did a great job shopping and I love everything he picked out! For lunch we went out to Olive Garden and then stopped by the mall for a little while. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing at home. I hope this getting older doesn't mean that gray hairs are going to start showing up! While I got ready this morning, Curt got out his old car track. He hasn't used it in many years, so he wasn't sure if it would work. Ben loved watching the cars race around the track. We enjoyed eating lunch at Olive Garden. Ben was too interested in coloring to look up at the camera. I love cheesecake for my birthday and Curt made this one for me all by himself. It is a chocolate chip recipe that is one of my favorites. He only added one candle per decade...we didn't ...
