4th of July weekend festivities

Friday afternoon, the Bairds (Derek, Rachel, Jackson, and Luke) arrived to spend 4th of July weekend with us. The guys went golfing while Rachel and I played with the boys at home.

Ben loved playing with the boys. He especially liked to follow Jackson around and watch what he was doing. Jackson showed Ben how he could fit underneath the box and Ben thought it was hilarious!

We spent the morning of July 4th at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. Here are all the kids looking at some animals together. Tonight we are going to a TinCaps baseball game. We are hoping for good weather and no rain!

Beating on the drums.

The giraffes didn't really seem hungry today, so we just watched them walk around.

We waited by the sky ride, while the Bairds went on the ride. You have to be 2 years old to ride, so Ben wasn't big enough yet.

We attempted to get all three boys on the dragon statue. But, Luke wasn't really excited about that idea.

Curt and Ben watching the sea lions swim.

We let Ben walk around inside the aquarium because he needed a break from his stroller. He enjoyed his quick moment of freedom.

In the petting zoo, this cow stuck his head out and said, "Mooo" really loudly right beside us.

After the zoo, we made a quick stop by the mall foodcourt for some lunch. We all enjoyed some delicious Chick-Fil-A. Then we rode on the carousel before heading home.
