Celebrating Birthdays

Saturday morning we drove up to Lansing, MI to celebrate some birthdays with Curt's family. In the evening all of the adults got to go out to dinner at PF Chang's. I was really excited about that because I haven't eaten at one since we moved from Indy. The kids stayed home with two babysitters that did a great job watching all of them! It was nice to get out and have some "adult" time.

The kids had fun playing outside. It was very warm out and they got very sweaty. I thought it was sweet how Peyton pushed Ben on his car through the grass on such a hot day.

The birthday girls and boy: Curt's mom, our niece Jenna, and Curt.

The kids getting ready for some birthday dessert. My sister-in-law Betsy made really cute flower pots for everyone with cake, ice cream, and oreos on top (for the dirt). They were delicious!

Ben had a first this weekend...his first bee sting. When we were outside on Saturday, a bee flew by him and stung his arm. I didn't even realize what happened until he started rubbing his arm and I saw the mark from the sting. It only got a little puffy, so at least we know he's not allergic. In the picture, his Aunt Molly is putting a baking soda paste on it.

We enjoyed our weekend together so much! Our little Ben is getting so big, and can do so many things now! I'm so sorry about his bee sting, and his teething troubles. I hope he is feeling much better now. Can't wait till we can be together again!
Love,
Mom Walker
