What we've been up to...
Our garden is really starting to flourish. We've only been able to eat some cherry tomatoes so far, but there are lots of other veggies that will be ready in the next few weeks. On a negative note, we had a rabbit adopt our garden. One night he even dug a little hole in the dirt and laid down between the beans and tomatoes...until Curt chased him out of there! He (and probably some other bunny friends) ate up all of our bean plants. I'm bummed about that because I love garden beans. We thought about planting more, but I think they'll just come back and eat them up. They don't seem to be eating anything else, so that's good.
One of the red peppers (still looking green) is getting pretty large.
Lots of yummy tomatoes are growing.
A few zucchini have showed up too.
Wednesday was Curt's birthday. He was able to take the day off of work and it was fun to celebrate all day together! We spent the morning at Crazy Pinz bowling, playing mini-golf, and using the arcade. Ben loved it so much that he wanted to go back again in the afternoon! We told him that we had to wait for another special occasion day. :)
Ben's first time throwing the bowling ball. The ball got stuck on his second roll (because he didn't throw it hard enough). So, Curt helped him the rest of the time.
Playing glow golf.
My turn.
We had fun playing lots of different arcade games.
This morning we met our friends Glenda, Jillian, and Evan at Buckner Park. It was supposed to be a hot sunny day, but it ended up very cloudy and in the 70's. Ben was a little too timid to actually get in the water. Maybe if he had been really sweaty he might have gotten brave. Who knows? He did have fun playing with his friends on the playground.
He would run around the edge of the water area, but not go in. It was probably for the best since he didn't end up chilly from the water on a not so hot day. :)
Climbing on the playground.
