Introducing...Lucy Charlotte Walker
Lucy was born on Wednesday, January 4th, at 3:51 pm. She weighed in at 8 lbs and was 21 inches long. After anticipating her arrival for the last few weeks, we were so happy that the day was finally here. Labor went much quicker than we thought (since it took much longer with Ben) and I was even able to eat dinner that night. She is such a sweet girl and we are so excited to have her as part of our family.
Curt snapped a picture of me when it was almost "go time." I'm sure you can tell I had an epidural. :) Meeting Lucy for the first time.
Curt's turn to hold her.
So happy to hold her in my arms!
Curt's parents headed right down to meet Lucy and help us take care of Ben.
Ben got to spend the day/night with my friend Bekah and her family. He had so much fun with his friends. Bekah brought Ben to the hospital on Thursday morning and he got to see Lucy for the first time. In the picture they are checking out her toes.
A smooch for his little sister.
I love that cute face! :)
This is a picture from Friday, close to when I was going to get to leave the hospital. I really wanted to check-out in the morning, but we had to wait for Lucy to have a 48 hour test. It felt like I had been there forever and I was so happy to head home.
A little daddy/daughter bonding time.
Time to get the bands removed and go home!
Someone was not as happy as me to head home. I think maybe wearing a huge hat had something to do with it.
Relaxing at home.
Ben wanted a picture in this pose. He's looking pretty cool!
My mom got to come and meet Lucy on her birthday (Jan 7th). We celebrated together with some Carlos O'Kelly's and yummy chocolate cake.
Lucy and Gramps
Ben holding Lucy for the first time. He was really nervous about it, but did a great job holding still.
