Beautiful Day!

We are enjoying the beautiful weather today. This has been my kind of winter...not a snowflake in sight! I bundled up Lucy in her carseat/stroller and we headed outside for a walk this morning. It is super windy, but other than that the weather is perfect.

Lucy had her 2 month check-up on Monday. She was 10# 2oz (25%) and 22 3/4 inches long (70%). I looked up Ben's stats to compare the two of them and found that he weighed 12# 13 oz and was 23 1/2 inches long at 2 months. He was almost a pound smaller than her at birth, so it is amazing how much he grew in the first two months. At the appt, Lucy had to get three shots in her legs, so that was a little sad to see. Poor girl. :( She was pretty fussy during that afternoon, but seemed to be back to her normal self by the evening. Last night, she slept for a little over 8 hrs! I was feeling so tired yesterday for some reason, so I was thankful for a good night of sleep.

They are beautiful children, for sure! It's fun to see & read the stats of how Lucy has grown, and how she compares with Ben at this age. Kind of fun that she's more petite than her big brother. :-) Nice that you're able to be out walking---we're ready for Spring too and hoping to be able to walk this week. Thanks for sharing these precious children---we love them, and miss them and You so much!

I'm glad we had time to make sugar cookies together. Christmastime does not seem complete without them. I frosted the cookies while Ben and Curt decorated.  Lots of sprinkles and chocolate chips!  Ben loved getting slippers and a robe with his "Christmas Eve" jammies. He does love to be cozy. We decided to move up our present opening a day early because we thought I might end up in the hospital on Christmas. But, today is the 27th and still no baby. So we were a bit off on that one.  Santa brought the Lewis Hamilton car that Ben had asked him for. He was very excited!  The new pirate ship has been a favorite. He has played with it a TON a last few days.  Ben also got a few more pirate dress-up things. I've heard "Aarg!" a lot lately. :)  My parents came yesterday for a visit since my dad has this week off of work. The Big 3-0!

Today I turned 30 years old. I didn't think that it would make me feel old, but it kinda does. :) I had a wonderful birthday. Curt went out and got us donuts for breakfast. Then, I got to open my presents. He did a great job shopping and I love everything he picked out! For lunch we went out to Olive Garden and then stopped by the mall for a little while. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing at home. I hope this getting older doesn't mean that gray hairs are going to start showing up! While I got ready this morning, Curt got out his old car track. He hasn't used it in many years, so he wasn't sure if it would work. Ben loved watching the cars race around the track. We enjoyed eating lunch at Olive Garden. Ben was too interested in coloring to look up at the camera. I love cheesecake for my birthday and Curt made this one for me all by himself.
