Friends, Family, & Fun
We've been staying busy the last couple weeks visiting with friends, going to parks, and traveling to see family. It has been pretty hot out lately which makes me very thankful for air-conditioning. We have not had much rain at all and our plants do not really look that great. If I didn't have a little baby I could probably get out there and water more, but this summer I can only do what I can do. The garden seems to be growing, so that's good. We'll see if that translates into anything to harvest.
I had several pictures on my phone from the last couple weeks, so I thought I'd share a few. We went to Grabill Park last week with our friends Erin, Will, and Lauren. It's not a glamorous park, but it does have a lot of shade and works well for little kiddos (Lauren is only 1). Last weekend we traveled up to Cadillac to visit Curt's family. We went up on Thursday afternoon to have a little bit longer visit. Betsy (my sister in law) took 6 month pictures of Lucy and I love what I've seen so far. Yesterday, we went to Kreager Park for the first time this summer. We met our friends Bekah, Tiana, Isaiah, and Amarah. It was the perfect day for it! We stayed several hours and Lucy did awesome the whole time. She even fell asleep in her stroller at her normal afternoon nap time.
I can't believe how fast summer is going and that it is almost July! We will celebrate Curt's birthday on Friday. He's looking forward to starting his day out with golf. If you know him at all, then you know that is the perfect way for him to start his birthday! :)

Lucy did great on the 4 hour drive to Cadillac, MI. I did sit in the middle of the van with her for most of the ride to hand her toys and chat with her.
Ben's new spot is in the back of the van. It's where the "cool kids" sit. He was too busy watching his movie to smile at me.
Lucy let everyone hold her this visit. She spent lots of time with Grandma. She also slept really well for her naps and at night. I hope it always goes that well! :)
The kids had fun playing dress-up. Ben said he was a "cowboy builder."

The kids love this musical game at Kreager Park.
Time for the teeter totter!
Hanging out in the stroller.
Sitting on my lap in the shade.
Ben having fun at the park.
The kids spinning around and getting dizzy!
