Catching Up

I haven't done the best job updating this summer, so here are a few phone pics of what we've been up to the last couple weeks.

We stopped in at Dunkin' Donuts on the 4th for a mid morning snack. It ended up also counting as lunch because none of us were hungry again until dinner. :)
Miss Lucy in her red, white, and blue.
Ben and I have been playing A LOT of Guess Who. I printed some of the free game boards and we love all of the new choices. On some of the hot days we played 5-10 games in a row. He is getting really good at thinking of questions to narrow the choices down.
Last weekend, Curt took Ben to the driving range. Ben lost his interest in golf that day and took a million pictures on my phone (I sent it along in case he got bored).
There were several pictures of Luigi looking at the clouds (Ben's description) and about 15 of Curt's clubs.
Monday we went to the zoo for a couple hours.
Ben is always interested in the serval after watching a Wild Kratt's episode that talked about them.
 Feeding a giraffe.
He's been wanting his picture here, but it is usually crowded.
Lucy was a little bored with being in the stroller. I put her in the carrier for the last little bit and she loved it!
The last few days we have been up in Grand Rapids. We left the kiddos with my parents and had a night away. We stayed in GR and just had fun shopping, going to a movie, and spending time together. My mom had my nieces Mya and Emma come stay over too. Ben was SO excited to play with them the whole time. Lucy did really well with hardly any crying.
My brother Joe came over and helped Ben swim in the pool.
Trying it on his own with a noodle.
My parents took the kids over to see my grandparents. It was their first time meeting Lucy.
While the kids stayed busy, we enjoyed seeing The Amazing Spider-Man. We really enjoyed the movie and our time alone. That doesn't happen too often for us. It was a great way to celebrate our 9th anniversary on Thursday.
On Friday night we got to squeeze in a quick visit with our friends Rachel and Derek. Rachel just had this little sweetie, Evangeline Brinn, two weeks ago. I was so excited to finally meet her!
