If you think my house is always clean...
It's NOT! :)
This morning the living room was a mess. It gets this way many times a day. I decided to take some pictures to prove that my house is sometimes a disaster. I don't enjoy the disaster, but kids need to play. Since messes make me crazy, the house gets cleaned up several times a day and one last time when the kids are in bed. If you have a planned visit, you will most likely find a nice clean house when you arrive. If you decide to stop by for a surprise visit, this is the kind of mess that might greet you. :)
Ben's stuffed toys all over the place!
He built a "house" for his buddies that he occasionally had to run and jump into.
He found a bag of magnet numbers and had to make HUGE numbers on the floor.
The stack of library books we read together while Lucy took her morning nap.
More stuffed toys on the floor.
Lucy and Ben being so sweet together.
Usually it's a little more like this! :)
*Thank you to everyone who prayed for my dad last week. I received a call from my brother Joe on Thursday that my dad was in an ambulance and headed to the hospital. He woke up in the afternoon (he works 3rd shift) and was not able to feel the right side of his body. He thought he had had a stroke (that was later confirmed at the hospital with an MRI). It was SO hard to be in another city, but my siblings kept me very informed with everything that went on that afternoon/evening. By Thursday evening he was able to move his arm and leg. The next day he was back to almost 100%. What an answer to prayer! I thought about heading up to GR myself on Thursday night, but my family wanted me to just wait until our planned visit this coming weekend. Since my dad was doing so well, I felt good about that decision. Life can change in an instant, I know I will squeeze my dad a bit tighter when I see him in a few days!
