Staying Busy
It feels like the spring/summer time is going to fly by. The calendar is already getting pretty full of trips, baseball games, and projects to be done at home. We are going to enjoy every minute of it before Ben heads to Kindergarten in the fall!
The weekend of April 12-14th, we took a trip up to Grand Rapids to see my family. It was a pretty relaxing weekend and we were able to catch up with quite a few people.
This past Friday, the 19th, we drove down to Indy to take the kids to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. We took Ben a couple years ago, but he doesn't really remember it. It is such a fun place to visit so I really wanted to fit that in this year. It was CRAZY busy while we were there! I think every school in the area was on a field trip. It would have been a little better without the crowds, but we still had an awesome time!
I really wanted to make it there before the Hot Wheels exhibit was gone. Ben loved seeing the cars and trying out some different Hot Wheels tracks.
There are so many different things to do at the museum. We could have stayed even longer, but at about 2:00 we had to call it a day. I thought Lucy would fall asleep in her stroller. She did not want to and was taking a bad turn into Crankytown. So, we got going and she slept most of the way home.
Curt's parents came for a visit from Friday night-Sunday. Sadly, I only got my camera out for a not so great picture in the basement. On Saturday, Curt's dad helped him rebuild our garden boxes. Curt had the old ones torn a part and all of the new cedar wood here. It took them a few hours and the new boxes look great! When we moved in 2 years ago, there were boxes in the yard made from pine. They were already looking pretty bad, but we used them for two summers. I think the cedar will hold up much better and as a bonus it looks really nice.

Yesterday the sun was shining and we went out to get some fresh air. The ground is still really muddy/squishy from all the rain we had recently, so we took a walk and stuck to playing on the swing set.
Still loving her swing!
Whee!
