It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

On Friday night we got out the Christmas tree and decorations. We put the tree up while Ben was still awake. He was pretty excited about the tree. We waited until he was in bed to put on the decorations because we wanted to keep our sanity. :) He was very excited to see the tree all decorated this morning. He's done a really good job listening to us about the tree. He likes to touch the ornaments, but he's been really gentle with them...hopefully that will last the whole month!

I tried to get a picture with Ben by the tree. He would not smile at all.


But apparently there were plenty of smiles for daddy....I'll try not to take it personally. :)


When daddy's laying on the floor, that's a good time to jump on his back!


Ben had a little fun with me too. He likes us to let him "ride" on our backs while we are sitting down. We just move back and forth, while he says "WHEEE!" For some reason, he loves it!

The tree looks nice....Ben looks like he was excited to see all the decorations:) We put ours up this morning...so far Izabella has only looked,ooohed & smiled....I'm not sure that is going to last :) Love, Mom

How Fun! You got some great pictures, and it's fun to see the festivites at your house. Our tree is up and finally decorated, and I'll soon be finished with the house decorations, and then we can put all the boxes away! Lots of work, but so pretty and festive when it's done. :-)

awww....I miss that little guy! Can't wait to see him at Christmas time! :D
The kids are making him airplanes and pictures like crazy! You might want to warm him about all of the "surprises" he'll be getting at Christmas time. It's like the art room exploded!! :D

I'm glad we had time to make sugar cookies together. Christmastime does not seem complete without them. I frosted the cookies while Ben and Curt decorated.  Lots of sprinkles and chocolate chips!  Ben loved getting slippers and a robe with his "Christmas Eve" jammies. He does love to be cozy. We decided to move up our present opening a day early because we thought I might end up in the hospital on Christmas. But, today is the 27th and still no baby. So we were a bit off on that one.  Santa brought the Lewis Hamilton car that Ben had asked him for. He was very excited!  The new pirate ship has been a favorite. He has played with it a TON a last few days.  Ben also got a few more pirate dress-up things. I've heard "Aarg!" a lot lately. :)  My parents came yesterday for a visit since my dad has this week off of work. The Big 3-0!

Today I turned 30 years old. I didn't think that it would make me feel old, but it kinda does. :) I had a wonderful birthday. Curt went out and got us donuts for breakfast. Then, I got to open my presents. He did a great job shopping and I love everything he picked out! For lunch we went out to Olive Garden and then stopped by the mall for a little while. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing at home. I hope this getting older doesn't mean that gray hairs are going to start showing up! While I got ready this morning, Curt got out his old car track. He hasn't used it in many years, so he wasn't sure if it would work. Ben loved watching the cars race around the track. We enjoyed eating lunch at Olive Garden. Ben was too interested in coloring to look up at the camera. I love cheesecake for my birthday and Curt made this one for me all by himself. It is a chocolate chip recipe that is one of my favorites. He only added one candle per decade...we didn't ...
