Road Trip!

It's been forever since we have gone on a road trip to someplace other than Michigan to visit our families. We thought a two day trip to Indianapolis would be fun. Since we've never stayed in a hotel with Ben, that was a whole new experience. We stayed in downtown Indy. It was beautiful out on Thursday and we were able to take a walk to the monument before we went to the mall for some dinner/shopping. Then, we spent some time in the hotel pool. On Friday, we went to the Children's Museum. Curt and I have been there many times (with visiting family/friends when we lived in Indy). But, this was Ben's first time there. It was interesting to see how it has changed in the last few years. There are many pictures coming up, so be prepared! :)

It was a little sunny on the drive down. Ben had to put on his shades.

Curt and Ben at the monument in downtown Indy.

Ben and I sat in the grass by the monument for a picture. He looks like he is trying to run away. :)

The tall building right in front of Curt and Ben is where Curt used to work when we lived in Indy.

Pool Time! Ben was super excited to go in the pool, but when we actually got there he was pretty nervous. He only got in to about his waist.

Hanging out on Ben's bed before it was time to go to sleep. (Curt was watching basketball, of course.) :)

Ben helped unearth some dinosaur bones at the Children's Museum.

Planting carrots and potatoes.

Sawing some wood in the Bob the Builder exhibit.

Ben really liked adding the magnetic rocks to the wall.

Playing in the sand.

Building a "Mr. Potato Head" type thing.

A little help from momma.

"Cheese!"

Sharing some ice cream with daddy.

He worked hard moving rocks in the wheelbarrow to fill up some holes.

Building a tower...the perfect way to end the museum trip.
