Preschool Graduation


Ben had his preschool graduation last night. It was so fun to see him having a good time up on the stage. He didn't seem nervous at all! He has told me many times over the last couple weeks that he would be carrying in the flag. He was very excited about that part of the program. We are so proud of our preschool graduate! He has learned so much this year and will be prepared for kindergarten. (Even though this mommy might not be ready for that!)

This was a Silly Sticks song and Ben was hilarious. He was really getting into it and I wish that I had a video. 

I really could not believe how comfortable he was up on the stage. 
All of the classes at this graduation sang three songs together. (They also had two other nights of graduations this week.)

What a big boy!! Nice pictures, I'll bet his program was wonderful & he sure didn't look nervous at all,he looked so proud to be carrying the flag. I'm sending a high five, & hugs & smooches,can't wait to see you all.

Thank you for posting these great pictures, Melissa. How I wish we could have been there! I am so proud of Ben, for so many reasons! He's so ready for Kindergarten, and will do great. He was blessed with a great teacher, but he's very blessed with great parents. :-) ♥

I'm glad we had time to make sugar cookies together. Christmastime does not seem complete without them. I frosted the cookies while Ben and Curt decorated.  Lots of sprinkles and chocolate chips!  Ben loved getting slippers and a robe with his "Christmas Eve" jammies. He does love to be cozy. We decided to move up our present opening a day early because we thought I might end up in the hospital on Christmas. But, today is the 27th and still no baby. So we were a bit off on that one.  Santa brought the Lewis Hamilton car that Ben had asked him for. He was very excited!  The new pirate ship has been a favorite. He has played with it a TON a last few days.  Ben also got a few more pirate dress-up things. I've heard "Aarg!" a lot lately. :)  My parents came yesterday for a visit since my dad has this week off of work. The Big 3-0!

Today I turned 30 years old. I didn't think that it would make me feel old, but it kinda does. :) I had a wonderful birthday. Curt went out and got us donuts for breakfast. Then, I got to open my presents. He did a great job shopping and I love everything he picked out! For lunch we went out to Olive Garden and then stopped by the mall for a little while. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing at home. I hope this getting older doesn't mean that gray hairs are going to start showing up! While I got ready this morning, Curt got out his old car track. He hasn't used it in many years, so he wasn't sure if it would work. Ben loved watching the cars race around the track. We enjoyed eating lunch at Olive Garden. Ben was too interested in coloring to look up at the camera. I love cheesecake for my birthday and Curt made this one for me all by himself. It is a chocolate chip recipe that is one of my favorites. He only added one candle per decade...we didn't ...
