Hopping into Spring

Image
Spring Break comes to an end after today. It was fun while it lasted. :) I've loved not setting an alarm all week! We stayed in Fort Wayne this year and enjoyed lots of family time & did fun things around the city. We were even able to enjoy a few non-rainy days outside soaking up some sunshine. Lucy got a new bike right before spring break. She is getting better and better at pedaling. She loves the little basket, so she can have some friends ride along. One of the days, we made homemade modeling clay. The kids designed little things to paint after they dried. Lucy mostly made "balls" so I helped her out and made a pig & duck too. Ben made a cool Luigi face, a penguin, and a few other small things. We spent a fun Sunday afternoon at Science Central.  Lucy thought the mirrors were hilarious. She could not get over how crazy she looked.     This thing reminded me of the game Operation . Curt did it so easily and I kep...

February

Image
We made lots of great memories in February! It started with a snowstorm and ended with a little more snow. I think we are all ready for winter to be over and spring to come. Ben is currently having another day off of school because of ice on the roads. So, it feels like that warmer weather is a long way off. In the meantime, we will try to have the most fun that we can indoors! :) We had fun making a snowman with a kit we picked up at the store. This was before much more snow & cold winds came later in the day.    These two shared a few snuggles. Ben's buddy Evan came over for a sleepover when they had a day off of school. Ben enjoyed doing a little building at Home Depot.   Lucy got to share a yummy dessert with mom and dad at DeBrands. (Ben was at his school movie night.)  We watched Ben play his last basketball game of the season and I got lots of hugs from this sweet girl. Ben's team after the last game. ...

Lucy's 3rd Birthday

Image
On Sunday January 4th, we celebrated Lucy's 3rd birthday. It was fun to have her birthday on the weekend so that we could spend the whole day together celebrating! I can't believe that she is 3 already! Lucy has such a fun personality. She is always making us laugh with her silly phrases and stories! She was excited to wake up and open her presents. It probably felt like Christmas morning all over again. She loved her new cozy Elsa & Anna blanket.   This is the silly smile we usually get for pictures lately. :) We put up some Frozen decorations and I think it turned out cute. It was just the four of us, so we just kept it pretty simple. Lucy was thrilled when she saw everything in the morning! The sweetest birthday girl. I made her my best attempt at a Frozen cake. She thought it was cute, so that's all that matters. :)   We went to her favorite Moe's for lunch. She LOVES the chips and queso. Lunch is not com...
