Disney Day 5: Epcot
Thursday we headed to Epcot bright and early. We were hoping to get on the Soarin' ride if we got there right when it opened. We stopped briefly at the front area to have a few photos taken before we all turned into a sweaty mess. It was another HOT day!
Pascal came over to say hi!
When we stopped by the Soarin' ride it was already a two hour wait. Yikes! The park had only been open around 10 minutes. Curt and Ben decided to quickly get on the Mission Space ride since the wait was really short. Lucy was too short to ride, so we sat that one out.
We knew that Belle would be in the France area at 11:00, so we made sure that we were over in that area to get right in line. They only have the characters stay out a little while, like 30 minutes, before they leave to get a break. Lucy was happy to get her visit with Belle. She did mention that she was hoping Belle would be in her yellow dress.
I had read about some of the delicious treats to eat in the World Showcase area. France was supposed to be one of the best. After we were done with Belle we headed to the Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. We shared three desserts and they were all so delicious!
We walked around and saw some of the other countries. We had planned to walk through more slowly and try some snacks from other places, but we were a little pressed for time. Since we had to get to Belle at 11, that didn't give us very much time to get back for our other fast passes. One was for Test Track and we didn't want to miss that. It would be nice to go back again and see everything without rushing.
Test Track! We made it there just a few minutes before our fast pass started. It was good timing because some rain came in right after we finished that ride and they always shut it down when there is bad weather.
The kids had fun designing there cars.

This ride went so fast! I couldn't believe that Lucy could ride it. She was just tall enough. She was in the middle of the back and I held my arm around her the whole time.
Later, we stopped by to see Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.
Look at that sweet face so excited to see Minnie. :)
Goofy was so silly. He kept messing with Ben trying to get him to reach his hand for a high five.
Lucy really loved all of the characters. I was surprised she wasn't nervous at all.
The kids both love Baymax.
A nice marshmellow hug.
We let the kids do a little shopping before we left Epcot. They picked out a couple new toys. After we got back to the room, they wanted to relax and play for a little while before we headed to dinner.
This was the side of the resort with the food and biggest pool. We took a photo as we walked over to dinner.
On the way back to the room, the kids wanted to lay for a minute in the hammocks.
So relaxing.
Swim time before getting ready for bed.
