Disney Day 2: Hollywood Studios

We took a bus from the Caribbean Beach Resort on Monday morning and got to Hollywood Studios right when it was opening. We wanted to get there early to see if Ben could get a spot for Jedi Training. When we found the spot for sign-ups, the line was already really long. They said the wait was 1.5 hours. Ben really wanted to wait, although we reminded him that bad weather was in the forecast and they cancel the training if a storm rolls in. He had his heart set on it, so Lucy and I left to find some other fun things to do by ourselves.

It was almost time for the Disney Junior show to start, so we got in line and hoped to get a spot inside. There was plenty of room for us and we got pretty good seats on the floor.
The show had little short segments from a few of the Disney Jr shows. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was the first.
She really enjoyed the show and it was nice to be out of the heat.
On our way to catch the Little Mermaid show, we saw some Storm Troopers marching. Ben was still waiting in line, so we felt bad he was missing out. Later, he did see another group marching.

Yay! Curt and Ben are finally out of the line. Ben got one of the last spots for the Jedi Training. We went to meet Chewy, who is a favorite of our whole family!
He was super friendly and let the kids get hugs and pose for several pictures.
Lucy got to use the force!

We saw this little guy in the hallway.
Time for the Star Tours ride. I get motion sickness easily and this was probably the worst ride for me of the whole trip. I kept thinking, "What do I do if I throw up on this ride?" Thankfully, I made it out without that happening and my stomach settled down.
Ben showed up for his Jedi Training...got ready to go...and it got CANCELLED! Bummer! The sky turned black and it poured and poured. We got so drenched. It just kept raining and raining and many of our Hollywood Studio plans didn't happen.
Because Ben's training got cancelled they let him have a fast pass to see Kylo Ren. They don't give out fast passes for him, so that was nice to not have to wait in line.

We went to the Frozen show and it was so nice to get out of the rain. We all thought it was really cute and fun!

Snow came down at the end and surprised us all!
We had a fast pass for the Toy Story ride and it was really run. You spin around and try to shoot targets. I rode with this silly girl.
We had planned to see the Indiana Jones show and do a few more things, but we were getting pretty cold and miserable from the rain. We decided it was time to head back to the resort. We had bought ponchos and I'm not sure that they helped that much. We were soaked. This picture is us waiting for the bus back to the resort. We were happy to get back to the room and put on dry clothes. We got dinner and got ready to head to Animal Kingdom in the morning.
