Batter up!

Ben took a Lil' Sluggers baseball class in the spring and really enjoyed it. We found out that they were having fall classes at a church nearby and decided to sign him up again. This class is on Thursday nights which is nice because Curt can always come too! Actually, after seeing the very tiny amount of space on the sidelines, I'll probably let Curt go alone to most of the classes. It's fun to see Ben's progress though, so I'll have to drop in from time to time.

His spring class was really small (only Ben and his friend Evan), but this time the gym was FILLED with kids (and parents). They were broken up into two groups. Ben is in the 2/3 year olds and I think the other group was 4/5 year olds. Ben had Coach Chuck again and I was surprised at how good he did following directions. I took a few pictures while we were there. They didn't turn out that well because of the lighting in the gym, but at least you can get an idea of what his class was like.

They started the class with some stretching. It was so cute to watch Ben because he had no idea what they were doing. He would stand and look at the other kids/coaches and then try it himself.
One of the skills they work on is running the bases and making sure to touch each base.
Coach Chuck is showing Ben how to throw his ball into a hoop. The coaches have the kids point...step...then throw.
Trying to knock down the cones with their balls.
Curt helped Ben with some batting practice near the end of the class.

awww...so cute. I just took Peyton to his gym class at the Y and it was so cute. :) They do 2 weeks of soccer, 2 weeks of T-ball and 2 weeks of basketball. Fun to watch the little guys! Great job, Ben! Looks like he's doing well! :D
