This week: Brought to you by the letter C
Each week, I am going to spend time on a letter from the alphabet with Ben and this week we are working on the letter C. I decided not to do the letters in order because I thought it would be more fun that way. I chose C because Ben is having a Disney Cars themed birthday party on Saturday with my family. We've had fun working on a few projects, going to the library, and looking for C's everywhere we go!
We started out the week by making some cookies in the shape of a C. Here's the finished product...some look a little more like C's than others. :)
While the cookies were baking we read this book that we picked up at the library. We have a few of the other books like this such as, If You Give a Moose a Muffin, but we don't have this one at home. Ben thought it was fun that he got to have chocolate chips cookies just like the mouse.
Time for a treat!Yesterday, Ben colored a C that I drew for him and after I cut it out he glued it onto some paper.
Then he glued Smarties onto it to make it a candy C.
This is the best smile that I could get from him! :)
I had him search through our foam letters for a few C's and then he glued them on the paper too.
Our next project was to make a crab. He started by painting a white piece of paper and a paper plate completely red.
After nap time it was dry and I cut the pieces out for him to glue together. Ben loves to use the little eyes in his projects.
Ben's cute little crab.
Tomorrow we're off to the zoo in the morning. We're going to look for lots of C's while we're there!
